[DEAD:ALIVE] is an album that captures the process of ‘self-transcendence,’ moving forward and growing into a new self by breaking through every limitation that once held one back without stopping even in the face of fear.

The absence of fear is not courage. Taking one step forward while feeling fear, and moving forward despite it, is true courage.

Sometimes, in order to grow, one must break down the familiar self. That destruction is not the end but a new beginning, and those who overcome fear and pass through the process of breaking down do not live as the same person they were before.

[DEAD:ALIVE] calls this paradoxical moment of breaking through one’s own limitations and being reborn as a new self ‘beautiful destruction.’
